ABSTRACT

Among the oral affections that affect dogs, we can highlight the infraorbital fistula, also known as "butcher fistula", it is a periapical osteolytic lesion of the upper fourth premolar (4th PMS), generally associated with periodontal disease. In the clinical examination of the animal, the presence of infraorbital fistula was found. The objective of this work is to report the case of a female dog with the presence of infraorbital fistula due to an advanced periodontal disease. As treatment, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, antiseptics and healing ointment were administered.

Dentre as afecções bucais que acometem os cães, podemos destacar a fístula infraorbital, também conhecida como "fístula de açougueiro", é uma lesão osteolítica periapical do quarto pré-molar superior (4º PMS), geralmente associada à doença periodontal. No exame clínico do animal, foi encontrada presença de fístula infra-orbital. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar o caso de uma cadela com presença de fístula infra-orbital por doença periodontal avançada. Como tratamento, foram administrados antibióticos, anti-inflamatórios, anti-sépticos e pomada de cura.
